Department of Theoretical Electrical Engineering and Electrical Measurement (TEEV)

The department of theoretical electrical engineering and electrical measurements is general engineering. Founded in 1968, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Karpov Yu.O. and is an integral part of the Faculty of Electricity at the Institute of Electric Power Engineering and Electromechanics VNTU.              There are two doctors of technical sciences, four candidates of technical sciences, four assistant professors, five engineers at the department. Since 2001, the department is headed by Dr.Sci., Professor Vasyl Vasyliovych Kukharchuk.              Teachers of the department lay knowledge on such fundamental disciplines as theoretical electrical engineering, industrial and power electronics, measuring and converting equipment.     Educational laboratories for direct and alternating currents, electromagnetic fields, industrial and power electronics, metrology and electrical measurements, information and measuring technology at the modern scientific level provide all disciplines that are taught by faculty. Educational, methodical and educational activityThe department is fully equipped with textbooks, manuals, methodical instructions, laboratory stands with computer training technologies.
Research activities The department is aimed at studying electromagnetic processes in nonlinear circles, systems and environments, development of computer-measuring systems, microprocessor control devices and their metrological support. The result of the scientific activity of the teachers and staff of the department is the publication of more than six hundred articles in various publications, five monographs, seven textbooks with a stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and one textbook. The researchers of the department received eighty author's certificates for inventions, defended fifteen theses for obtaining a scientific degree of a candidate of technical sciences and one doctoral dissertation. The scientific staff of the department developed and introduced a number of devices, experimental and industrial designs that allowed us to obtain a significant economic effect in production.
